Eldoret KabeneseOn the
outskirts of Eldoret in Abenese stands this marvelous home far from
the electricity grid. January 10th 2005 Mr Ng'eny installed a WindCruiser
CS15TDR 12-24 VDC powering a 2.5KVA
inverter and running all the home appliances. The massive farm house stands on a 40 acre farm only lacking power. This is the most windy sites we have ever encountered. We have had to go back to this site and put another propeller after the first one took off.
Our Technicians with some help of the host get down to work.
Peter Guyo drilling holes on the treated wooden pole. These poles are available in the locality
The pickup track came in handy as it pushed the pole to its upright position.
Peter assembling the WindCruiser piece by piece up the pole using an on-site made ladder.
WindCruiser ready to fly. But not until the power cable is run into the house.
Power cable being laid before its buried underground. The cable run about 50 feet to the consumer unit in the house.
View of home from outside the perimeter wall.
The WindCruiser stands clear of any obstacle around.
