Homa Bay community battery charging centre

Homa Bay is a small town on the shores of Lake Victoria. Penn State, Nairobi University and Craftskills have on June 3rd 2007, erected a community wind power turbine for a Community Battery Chargig Centre. It is a Wincruiser CS15TDR 1200watts. From Olare bus stop we went to Kochia village within Homa Bay. The turbine is being used to charge batteries and mobile phones for the people of the Kochia community where there is no grid electricity.
