Kibera Kianda

At Kibera Kianda Practical Action formerly (ITDG) has put up ablutions for the community. These are serving the slum dwellers since their dwellings do not have toilets. Mr Brian Thomas (lecturer) and engineering students from Baylor University have contributed a wind turbine to supply power for lighting the toilets and nearby homes. This pilot project has started with a Windcruiser CS09TDR 300 watts. Mr Brian came with LED lights to be used for this project.
