Kwen-Siro SagallaAt the Home of Dr Peter Ngwatu in Kwen-siro village fly's a windcruiser CS03TDR 150watts. This turbine is one of the smallest in our range of wind turbines. It is powering a radio, six DC florescent tube lights and charging mobile phones.
The Home is situated on a hillside.
Turbine was mounted on a wooden pole. The blades are hollow fiberglass type easily turned by a breeze.
Testing the lights during the day. Fitting the lights was easy; we utilised the wood holding the roof. The iron sheets did quite good reflection.
Turbine flying into the evening. At this moment solar panels are not able to give any power. We wished we could get a pole as high as the trees in the background.
Testing the lights at night. |
